About this Notice

Peplink ID is a single account that you can use to sign in to many of our websites, apps and services, including but not limited to the Peplink Community forum, our eStore and InControl (“Peplink ID Services”). This Peplink ID Privacy Notice (“Notice”) explains how Peplink access, use, store and share information we receive from Google when you use your Google account with Peplink ID.

This Notice supplements our Privacy Policy at https://www.peplink.com/support/policies/privacy-policy/, which explains how we handle your personal data more generally. Terms not defined in this Notice have the meanings given in our Privacy Policy. If this Notice and our Privacy Policy are inconsistent in relation to Google User Data, this Notice prevails.

Signing in with Google

You may choose to create or sign in to your Peplink ID using your Google account. If you do, Google will ask for your permission before sharing any information from your Google account with us. Google’s own collection and use of your information when you sign in with Google is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. In this Notice, “Google User Data” means the information we receive from Google when you use your Google account with Peplink ID.

What we access. If you sign in with Google, Peplink ID receives only the information you have allowed Google to share with us, including your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier. We never receive your Google password.

How we use it. We use Google User Data to create, verify and sign you in to your Peplink ID and the Peplink ID Services, to set up and maintain your Peplink ID account profile, to communicate with you about your accounts, and to protect the security of your account and our services. We do not sell Google User Data, and we do not use it to send advertisements, but we may share it with third parties who help us provide our services.

How we store and protect it. Google User Data is stored with your Peplink ID account records on systems operated by us or our service providers. Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data.

How long we keep it. We keep Google User Data for a period consistent with our business purposes. We may keep your Google account identifier after you remove Peplink ID’s access or after your Peplink ID is deleted, where this is necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud or misuse of our services.

How we share it. We do not share Google User Data with third parties, except with Peplink-affiliated companies and service providers that operate or support Peplink ID or the Peplink ID Services on our behalf, or where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the security of our services or users. Some Peplink ID Services, such as the Peplink Community forum, include a public profile. Your name and profile picture may be shown on that profile and next to the content you post, and you can change them in your profile settings.

Your choices. You can stop sharing information from your Google account with us at any time by removing Peplink ID’s access in your Google Account settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. This will not delete information we have already received. To ask us to delete your Google User Data, please contact us at [email protected]. Before we delete your Peplink ID, we may ask you to transfer any organisations, devices or subscriptions linked to it to another account. Once your Peplink ID is deleted, it cannot be restored, and you will no longer be able to use it to access our websites, apps or services, including any accounts, devices, subscriptions or licences linked to it. Content you have posted publicly, such as forum posts, may remain visible. We may also keep certain information where necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud or misuse of our services.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Peplink ID’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Changes to this Notice

We may update this Notice from time to time. Before we use Google User Data in a way that is materially different from what is described in this Notice, we will notify you and, where required, obtain your consent.
