FusionHub Virtual Appliance on AWS

We have partnered with AWS to take your enterprise’s connectivity to the next level – high speed, reliable and scalable.

FusionHub

Whether your enterprise needs connectivity in workplaces, factories, outdoors, vehicles, ships or IoT systems, you can now establish unbreakable and flexible connectivity anywhere by using FusionHub on the resilient AWS cloud infrastructure. Peplink and AWS share a mission that ensures enterprises can easily set up and manage connectivity resources and data, at a reduced network cost.

Benefits

Virtual Appliance for Large Enterprises FusionHub #2

Bandwidth Bonding

Connect to your cloud server with the combined speed of all your WAN links. Enjoy faster Internet access by using your server’s high-throughput connection.

Remote Streaming: Stream videos and transfer large files quickly, even in remote areas with limited Internet access.

Combine Different Sources: DSL, MPLS, 4G LTE, 5G: use them all together to increase your bandwidth.

Virtual Appliance for Large Enterprises FusionHub #6

Unbreakable VPN

Combine any type of connection from multiple ISPs to create a highly available connection between your device and your FusionHub. This connection will provide an unbreakable VPN.

Packet-Level Seamless Failover: Even when a WAN link fails, your sessions will stay active. VoIP calls will continue without interruption.

Cellular Backup Connections: Set bandwidth-limited links (4G LTE/ 5G) to perform Hot Failover in case your primary link fails.

Virtual Appliance for Large Enterprises FusionHub #7

AWS as the Main Cloud Server

Use FusionHub on AWS and other clouds freely. Deploy FusionHub at a moment’s notice. Establish as many FusionHubs as you need to support your users.

InControl 2 Centralized Management: All FusionHub instances can be centrally managed through a single interface with InControl 2.

FusionHub and InControl 2

Infinitely Scalable Architecture

In addition to the ability to organize your devices and FusionHubs, InControl 2 provides you with real-time user information. Gain insight into the domains your users visit (e.g. www.facebook.com) as well as any of their applications that use data (e.g. Zoom, Skype). This information can be displayed as a table, pie chart, or user connection diagram. On the user connection diagrams, information is made manageable using intelligent filters.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

Q.FusionHub and the Balance both form SpeedFusion tunnels, when should I use which?

Use the Balance when you need a physical router, and when you need to bond multiple WAN connections. Use FusionHub when you need to use existing servers, and when you need to connect to private and public clouds. Please click here for more information.

Q.When I try importing or running FusionHub on my virtual machine, I get the following error: “This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot – Please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU”. What should I do?

This problem can be resolved by enabling “Intel VT” in your computer BIOS. For systems running AMD processors, the feature is called “AMD-V”. You can configure your BIOS upon starting up your computer, before entering your operating system.

Q.Does Layer 2 SpeedFusion VPN work with a FusionHub terminated VPN?

Yes, FusionHub supports Layer 2 SpeedFusion VPN as of Firmware version 8.0.

Q.Why is there still a limit on maximum throughput?

There are no longer any software throughput restrictions within FusionHub. But the actual throughput can be physically limited by the hardware and network it is hosted on.

Q.How can I update my FusionHub to remove the throughput limit?

    • If your FusionHub is online, no action is required. The system has automatically removed the throughput limits.
    • If your FusionHub is offline, enable FusionHub online to communicate with our public InControl to remove any throughput restrictions.
    • If your FusionHub is managed via Private ICVA, open UDP port 5246 and allow your ICVA to communicate with our public InControl. ICVA and related FusionHub licenses will be updated automatically.

Q.Do PrimeCare devices count towards the peer limit within FusionHub?

No. PrimeCare is designed to scale and does not count toward FusionHub peer limits. You can use as many PrimeCare devices with FusionHub as possible at no extra licensing cost. Learn more about PrimeCare.
