Ideal Price/performance for Mid-sized Enterprises
Triple WAN - Direct-connect up to 3 Internet links; compatibility with economical and commonly available types of connections, such as Cable and DSL, keep running costs under control.
Aggregation, Load Balance and Failover - Bandwidth combination enhances throughput; multiple Internet links provide redundancy, load sharing and improve network availability.
Durable Enclosure - Housed in a 1U, 19" rack-mountable chassis for business-critical environments.
Ease of Use and Management
Drop-in Mode - Deployment of PePLink Balance in Drop-in Mode does not require any changes to existing network devices. This is best suited for customers that already have a router and firewall in place.
Web Management Interface - PePLink Balance is managed through an elegant and modern web interface.
Traffic Reporting - PePLink offers customers a free (and optional) service to gather and visually present traffic statistics for your network.
Maximum Network Uptime
Intelligent Health Checks and Automatic Failover - Regular health checks (PING or DNS queries) ensure up-to-date link statuses. In case of a link failure, PePLink Balance automatically re-routes traffic to a healthy link to provide continuous Internet service.
On-the-fly Configuration Activation - Settings can be changed and activated on PePLink Balance without system reboot.
Dual Firmware Architecture - Protect customers from risks associated with upgrades, e.g. power outage; offer flexibility and fast fallback with new firmware releases.
Hardware High Availability (HA) - A pair of PePLink Balance units can be deployed in an Active/Hot-standby HA hardware configuration via VRRP, Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol. In case of failure with the Active unit, the Hot-standby unit becomes active, and provides continuous service.
Best-in-Class Functionalities
Integrated Authoritative DNS and Inbound Load Balance – Increase available bandwidth for your Internet services on the fly. The built-in authoritative DNS server supports MX, NS, A, CNAME, and TXT records. You can easily load balance incoming requests and traffic among all available links.
Enhanced Video, Audio and VoIP - With the ability to control quality of service for VoIP, SIP, and Streaming Video applications, PePLink Balance ensures consistent throughput of audio, video and other delay-sensitive traffic through prioritized delivery.
SIP and Vonage Support - Out of the box support for SIP-based VoIP applications, such as Vonage®; PePLink Balance intelligently detects and transparently manages voice sessions across all of the available Internet links.
Multiple WAN IP and Subnet Support - Support for multiple Internet IP addresses from each ISP, so that services continue to be available in event of a link failure.
One-to-one NAT - PePLink Balance offers the ability to map specific public IP addresses for outbound requests from different internal servers.
Stateful Firewall - PePLink Balance provides a rule-based firewall that supports an unlimited number of rules.
Site-to-Site VPN - PePLink proprietary site-to-site VPN that secures and aggregates VPN traffic across all WAN connections. Currently, it supports a pair of Balance 380/700/710 units used between two locations.
Comprehensive Traffic Control
Policy-based Management - A flexible Outbound Traffic Manager allows you to define policy rules to control traffic based on any combination of IP source, destination, port and MAC address.
Weighted Load Distribution - Outbound traffic can be distributed over the available Internet links based on configurable proportions. Proportions among various traffic types can be independently configured according to protocol and port number.
Session Persistence/Binding - PePLink Balance supports Internet services, such as secure web, that require clients to maintain the same IP address throughout a session.
Priority - With this algorithm, you can define traffic to pass through the links with priority. When a link with a higher priority is available, it will always be used.
Enforced/Nailed - You can define traffic to be nailed to a particular connection even in the event that it is down.
