To determine the serial number and firmware version of a Peplink Balance device, carry out the following steps:

1. Connect a computer via an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports on the Peplink Balance device
2. Open a web browser to Web Admin: 
   http://192.168.1.1 (Default IP Address)
3. Go to Status > Device, and the serial number, firmware version number and hardware revision number is shown on this page
4. The firmware version number is also shown on the Dashboard Page
