Since Peplink Balance Firmware 5.0 is a major release, it is only available for customers whose device is under warranty. It will be a charged upgrade for Peplink devices that are out of warranty.

An Unlock Key is Required for Firmware 5.0

To upgrade to 5.0, a device specific unlock key is required to complete the firmware upgrade process. If your Peplink device is still under warranty, go to the following link and learn how to get the unlock key.

If you have purchased your Peplink Balance unit on or after February 1, 2009 or your Extended Warranty is still valid on February 1, 2010, then you should already have an unlock key.

How to Obtain an Unlock Key for Out-Of-Warranty Units?

If the warranty on your Peplink Balance unit has expired, you would need to purchase TotalCare service package in order to upgrade to 5.0.
